French Clairefontaine was founded in 1863 and is a favorite among many artists. The difference between Clairefontaine and ordinary paper is remarkable! Clairefontaine controls their own production and follows strict values when it comes to the environment.

Today, Clairefontaine mainly manufactures paper, envelopes and notebooks. The factory has two machines and each machine achieves a production speed of 1000 meters per minute. That means that each hour paper that weighs 15 000 kg and is 60 000 meters long is produced in the factory. The demand is high for high quality paper!
