Ecoline
Ecoline is a well-known brand of liquid watercolours and brush pens with a history dating back to 1930. Its intense, transparent colours are used by illustrators, designers, calligraphers and other creatives and are ideal for everything from illustration and lettering to watercolour painting, sketching and colourful creative projects.
Ecoline is best known for its liquid watercolours. The colour is ready to use straight from the bottle, producing bright, transparent shades that can easily be mixed together. By diluting the colour with water, you can create lighter shades, soft transitions and classic watercolour effects. The colour absorbs into the paper and retains its intensity even after drying.
The Ecoline Brush Pen combines Ecoline’s distinctive colours with the flexibility of a brush pen. Its flexible brush tip allows you to vary the line width depending on the amount of pressure applied. This makes Ecoline brush pens particularly popular for brush lettering, calligraphy, illustration and other techniques where you want to switch between fine and broad lines.
One of the great advantages of Ecoline is that the liquid watercolours and Ecoline Brush Pens can be used together. You can combine the control of the pens with the versatility of liquid colour to create larger areas of colour, gradients and watercolour effects. With water and a brush, the colour can also be worked further on the paper to create softer transitions and different effects.
