The soft 3.8 mm leads glide smoothly across various types of paper – from smooth surfaces for precise details to more textured papers for expressive shading – as well as materials such as cardboard, wood, and leather. The patented SV bonding (Secural Bonding) provides high break resistance against pressure and impact.
The name “Polychromos” derives from Greek “poly” (many) and “chroma” (colour) – a fitting name for this range of 120 rich shades offering endless blending possibilities and vibrant results.
A consistent colour system makes it easy to combine Polychromos with other Faber-Castell products, such as the Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils or the Pitt Artist Pens.
