Increase the gloss, colour depth and transparency of acrylic paint with Liquitex Professional Gloss Medium. The medium makes the paint more fluid and can be used to adjust its consistency and create transparent layers of colour without affecting the stability of the acrylic paint.

Gloss Medium is mixed directly with acrylic paint, and the more you add, the thinner and more transparent the paint becomes. The medium maintains the paint's adhesion and durability and dries to a clear, glossy finish. It is semi-transparent when wet and becomes completely transparent when dry.

In addition to painting, Gloss Medium can be used as an adhesive for collages with lightweight materials and for image transfers. It can also be used as a fixative for materials such as pastel, graphite and chalk.
