The ink is water-based, soft writing and fast drying. The blue-black ink is more water-resistant and archival than the black ink.
The glass bottle contains an innovative reservoir that allows you to easily fill your pen with ink even when the bottle's ink level has dropped. Make sure the bottle's cap is screwed on, then turn the bottle over to fill the reservoir with ink. That's all there is to it, just fill up your pen!
