I always want to be ready, whatever the weather or place. I’m often out in nature and need gear that can handle everything from rain and wind to tough conditions in the forest, mountains or kayak. My favourite thing is to sit on a rock, unpack my flask and write down thoughts that have come to me along the way. That’s why I choose notebooks that are small and easy to pack.

My current favourites are the Field Notes books, which don’t give up just because it starts to drizzle. Of course, the pens also need to perform in the cold, wet, heat and everything in between. My gear should last a long time and work anywhere, so I can fully focus on the adventure.
