Liquitex
Liquitex is one of the best-known brands in acrylic colour and has played an important role in the development of acrylics for artists. The story gained momentum in the 1950s when colour chemist Henry Levison developed a water-based acrylic colour for artistic use. The new material could be used in everything from fluid consistencies to thick, textured layers. The combination of “liquid” and “texture” eventually gave the brand its name: Liquitex.
Since then, Liquitex has continued to develop acrylic colours and products for acrylic painting.
