The Faber-Castell Polychromos 20-set contains the 20 completely new colours that expand the Polychromos palette from 120 to 140 colours. This is the first expansion of the colour palette in 25 years. The set is ideal both for adding to an existing Polychromos collection and for anyone who wants the latest new shades.

Polychromos are professional oil-based coloured pencils with a high pigment concentration and excellent lightfastness. The acid-free pigments produce clear, intense colours that are water-resistant and smudge-proof.

The soft yet durable lead provides smooth, even colour application and can be sharpened to a fine point for precise details. The colours can be blended and built up in multiple layers to create smooth transitions, shading and intense areas of colour.

The pencils feature a 3.8 mm lead that is bonded along the entire length of the wooden barrel using Faber-Castell's SV bonding process. This makes the lead particularly resistant to breakage during use and sharpening. The wood comes from sustainable forestry and the pencils are finished with water-based lacquer.

All 20 colours are presented together in a metal tin.
