Paul Fisher’s space pens were used by NASA as early as the first manned launch of the Apollo programme in 1968.

This is their simpler ballpoint pen, the Cap-O-Matic, where the tip extends and retracts by clicking the top.

Brass upper section with clip and coloured lower barrel made of plastic.

The pressurised cartridge writes in rain, heat, cold, at any angle – and of course, in space!
