The Cap-O-Matic Space Pen ballpoint has been available for many years in a wide range of colours and finishes. The colours of this model, with a matte black barrel and an orange stripe along the pen, are dedicated to the American heroes of SAR (Search and Rescue), who risk their lives every day to save those stranded or lost in the wilderness.

Paul Fisher’s space pens were used by NASA as early as the first manned Apollo launch in 1968.

This is their Cap-O-Matic model, where the tip is extended and retracted by clicking the top.

The pressurised refill writes in rain, heat, cold, at any angle – and of course, in space!
