TOYO Steel Company

Japanese company Toyo Steel Co. Ltd was founded in 1969. The name Toyo roughly translates as “East-West”, reflecting the company’s ambition to create a link between Japan and the Western world. The company is still based in the Kansai region of Osaka, an area well known for its steel industry.

With its minimalist design, Toyo combines an elegant look with a robust feel, despite its lightweight construction. The different storage box models have a distinct industrial character and reliable durability, while their soft, rounded edges add a more playful and practical touch to home storage.

The Japanese heritage is evident throughout the design. The boxes are rectangular with rounded edges for increased durability, while both the base and lid are designed to allow the boxes to be stacked for efficient storage. Many of the boxes are seamlessly manufactured from a single sheet of steel. Functionality and durable design are hallmarks of Toyo Steel.

Thanks to the wide range of sizes and designs, Toyo Steel boxes can be used for all kinds of storage. Find a new home for your paints, brushes and palettes, or organise your blenders, markers and fineliners. Perhaps it’s the perfect box for your craft and DIY supplies? Or a large box for all that washi tape currently rolling around your desk?

Give your favourite pastels a new home and keep them neatly organised – or use it to store your coloured pencils.

Or, of course, make it your very own stylish new toolbox.
