Kuretake Goshuincho Gold is a Japanese book with accordion-folded pages, made using a special gold-coloured paper. Unlike a traditional Goshuincho, the paper consists of a gold-coloured base topped with a thin layer of rayon fibre. The surface layer absorbs paint and ink while allowing the shimmering gold background to remain visible.

The special paper provides a decorative surface for drawing, calligraphy, lettering and other creative projects and can be used with ink, Gansai colours and water-based pens, among other media. The gold background creates beautiful contrasts and gives colours, lines and details a distinctive appearance.

The accordion-folded pages allow the book to be unfolded so that several pages can be viewed together, making it possible to create longer illustrations and continuous designs. The cover is also gold-coloured, complementing the book's distinctive design.
