ZIG Kuretake

ZIG Kuretake is a Japanese brand with over 100 years of experience in pens, inks and artists’ materials. The company was founded in 1902 and began by producing products for traditional Japanese calligraphy. Today, Kuretake is known around the world for its brush pens, calligraphy pens, markers and colours. Products where Japanese craftsmanship meets modern functionality and creativity.

Brush pens are an important part of the ZIG Kuretake range. You’ll find brush pens with different types of brush tips for calligraphy, lettering, illustration, drawing and manga. The range includes pens for precise lines as well as models with flexible brush tips that allow you to vary the line width by changing the pressure applied to the paper. You’ll also find fineliners, calligraphy pens, markers, metallic and glitter pens, refills and other accessories.

Kuretake is also the brand behind Gansai Tambi. These traditional Japanese watercolours have become extremely popular among watercolour artists, illustrators and creatives around the world. Kuretake Gansai Tambi is known for its intense colours and is available in a wide range of shades, from classic colours to metallic, pearlescent and other special-effect colours.

Gansai Tambi is used with water in a similar way to traditional watercolour paint, but the character of the colours makes it possible to work both transparently and with more intense, opaque layers. This makes them suitable for everything from watercolour painting and illustration to lettering, card making and other creative techniques. They are available in a variety of sets, making it easy to choose a colour palette that suits your creative work.

The ZIG Kuretake range brings together traditional Japanese techniques and modern artists’ materials. Whether you’re looking for a brush pen for lettering, a calligraphy pen, fineliners for illustration or Gansai Tambi for watercolour painting, you’ll find products for both detailed work and freer creative expression.
