Sennelier L'Aquarelle has been made using traditional methods for over a century and contains high-quality pigments and Kordofan gum arabic as a binder. Honey is used in the paint both as a preservative and as an additive to give the colours flexibility and luminosity. Sennelier has further developed its watercolour formula with a higher proportion of honey to contribute to the colours' durability, luminosity and intensity. The colours are made in France and traditionally ground in several stages using slowly rotating millstones, producing a fine and even colour paste suitable for smooth colour transitions and watercolour washes.
The metal tin measures approximately 10 × 6.4 × 2.5 cm and is designed to be easy to take with you when travelling or painting outdoors.
The set contains the following colours: Primary Yellow (574), French Vermillion (675), Cinerous Blue (344), French Ultramarine Blue (314), Phtalo Light Green (805), Sap Green (819), Burnt Umber (202) and Payne's Gray (703).
